At the *David E. Gregory Christian Academy (DEGCA), we are currently experiencing that magic firsthand, thanks to our incredible new volunteer from the United States, Ashley*.
From the moment she arrived, Ashley didn’t just step into a new environment—she dove straight into the heart of our mission, bringing an explosion of energy, essential resources, and an unwavering passion for service.
## A Healthier Community: From the US to the Agona Nsaba Health Directorate
Ashley’s impact began creating ripples even before she stepped foot in the classroom. Recognizing the vital need for medical support in local communities, she arrived equipped with a generous supply of *critical medical supplies*.
Working hand-in-hand with our team, Ashley proudly facilitated the donation of these much-needed supplies directly to the *Agona Nsaba Health Directorate*. But she didn't stop at just dropping them off—Ashley has rolled up her sleeves to actively assist with local health initiatives, blending her time between educating young minds and supporting grassroots health work.

Education is the great equalizer, and Ashley came prepared to supercharge our learning environment. Alongside her medical contributions, she arrived bearing an incredible toolkit for our students: *brand-new iPads and cutting-edge learning and teaching materials*.
Walking into DEGCA today feels different. Our students’ eyes light up as they explore digital learning tools, guided by a teacher who believes that every child deserves access to modern, engaging education. Whether she is leading a classroom lesson, breaking down a tough concept, or helping a student navigate a new tablet, Ashley’s warmth and dedication make her an absolute natural in front of the chalkboard.
